WordPress Development Agreement — V2.1 — April 2016
In return for building an awesome new WordPress website at an
extremely discounted rate, you agree & understand the following.
Initial Steps
The first step in developing a WordPress website is to thoroughly understand your goals, your audience and your ideal outcome once the site is fully deployed.
Once we’re armed with this information, we’ll review your design mockups in detail and provide recommendations and suggestions on ways to improve the layout, functionality or design if needed. If we feel confident that the designs are feasible and can be created in WordPress, we’ll dive into development.
WordPress Set Up & Theme Development
We’ll start by installing WordPress on our server for the staging environment which will be where the website gets built, edited and refined before launch. We’ll create home page layouts based on the designs given to us. You understand that your designs may be modified by Mittun to make development costs fit within the budget of this project, if deemed complex & outside the anticipated scope.
At this point we’ll provide a link to a working prototype where you can click through the site and see the progress. You understand that we may have to modify the layouts or proposed functionality to complete the development within budget. If we made a conscious choice to avoid developing or implementing a feature or design element based on our experience with WordPress, you understand and agree that requesting us to implement such a feature or design request may not be possible under the agreed terms. We promise to play fair, create the best website we can and be as transparent as possible, and people tend to agree.
WordPress Content Implementation
We highly recommend having all of your content ready by this stage which will inform us if the design is working and allow us to make iterations faster, with real content. Our turnaround date & anticipated timeline is dependent on when we receive artwork, designs, copy, content and feedback from you or your affiliated partners. If you won’t be able to provide professionally written content by this stage we recommend hiring someone who can.
Your website will initially contain the minimum amount of pages necessary for the site to be fully functional. Once we reach that milestone, we may require you to help with data entry and content population. You agree and understand that you may be required to help us populate the site. We’ll then go back in and add all remaining pages that are needed and guide you through the process of populating the site.
Testing & Debugging
We’ll test the website in a variety of browsers, including the latest versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 11. We’ll also test the responsive design on the latest versions of iPhone, Android & popular tablets. We’ll test the functionality of the site to ensure there are no errors or broken links and test all areas of the functionality. You’ll have two rounds of minor revisions or tweaks to the site at this point, and then we’ll launch.
Launch
Once you’ve tested the website and are happy with its functionality, we’ll make the site live. This means we’ll back everything up, get all the social share data dialed in and transfer the site to be activated at [yourdomain.com].
Launch time! Party! Yeah!
Post Launch Support
Every website we build includes 30 days of post-launch website support. This means we’ll be available to support the site to ensure it’s up and running properly. This includes video tutorials, email support, minor website updates and bug fixing.
More Details
Mittun is happy to offer 1-12 months of post-launch support (depending on potential reach — TBD), if any, all or some of the following conditions are met:
