#GivingTuesday Nonprofit Case Studies

See the impact #GivingTuesday had in 2020

LOS ANGELES REGIONAL FOOD BANK

With Giving Tuesday 2020 right in the midst of a pandemic, the need was far greater than it had been in years past. So that is why the LA Food Bank helped each gift mean even more. They took on the challenge to provide 1 million meals from Black Friday to #GivingTuesday, and did so with the help of an anonymous donor who agreed to match the first $100,000 donated.

FEEDING AMERICA

Feeding America is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization, and received support from many other big names on #GivingTuesday. Bella Tunno donated the equivalent to one meal for every product purchased as part of their Buy One Feed One campaign. The Fresh Market asked customers to round up and matched donations up to $125,000. Crate & Barrel, Pampered Chef and others also participated.

WYOMING EQUALITY

This nonprofit dedicated to achieving equality for Wyoming's LGBTQ communities met their goal, and then exceeded it, with their new two-part strategy. First, they implemented a CRM that integrated with their existing tools. And then they motivated their donors with a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign that blew their initial goal out of the water.

ERYC TAYLOR DANCE

Nonprofit dance studio, Eryc Taylor Dance, didn't just ask for donations - they put on a show. On #GivingTuesday, they went live on Instagram throughout the day to reach their fundraising goal of $10,000. By getting people involved and showing what they are all about, they were able to raise more donations while spreading their message.
